Town Of Pleasant Valley Designated Purple Heart Town

The members of the Pleasant Valley Fire District were honored to participate in today's ceremony naming the Town of Pleasant Valley a "Purple Heart Town".

Pleasant Valley Fire District members proudly stood at attention and joined the Dutchess County Sheriff's Color Guard to present the colors to start the moving ceremony.

As Amazing Grace was played by Local 21 Pipes and Drums, Past Assistant Chief and member of the town's "Hometown Heroes" committee Jeff Cady, proudly raised the "Purple Heart Flag" at the town's Memorial Park,

Past Assistant Chief and member of the town's "Hometown Heroes" committee Jeff Cady raises the "Purple Heart" flag as Town Clerk and ceremony organizer Mary Beth Muir watches.
