| Please join us in honoring Pleasant Valley Fire District's Assistant Chief John Cronk as one of Dutchess County 2023 Firefighter of the Year recipients in recognition of his actions in saving a woman who was trapped in the rubble of a building that had been destroyed by a tractor-trailer at the Junior's building collapse.
He was recently presented awards from the Dutchess County Volunteer Firemen's Association (DCVFA) and New York State Senator Michelle Hinchey.
New York State Senator Rob Rolison, along with Assemblymembers Didi Barrett and AJ Beephan joined the DCVFA in presenting commendations to the honorees for the heroic acts they performed without any expectation of publicity or fanfare.
New York State Senator Michelle Hinchey said it perfectly... “Our volunteer fire departments and firefighters put their lives on the line every day – away from their family, away from their friends – time away from birthday parties, dinners, and graduations, to support their community, they truly are the backbone of the Hudson Valley.”
