| Excellent post on Facebook today from the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office...
With sun and blue skies forecasted for the remainder of this Memorial Day Weekend, Sheriff Kirk A. Imperati reminds boaters to be safe out on our waterways.
Sheriff Imperati said, "Our Marine Patrol Deputies are patrolling the Hudson River this weekend promoting boater safety and are ready to respond to emergencies and calls for assistance. I urge boaters to wear PFDs, have required safety equipment on board and always operate your vessel while sober."
Marine Patrol Deputies coodinate their emergency responses with Dutchess County 911, our law enforcement and fire department partners on the Hudson River and U.S. Coast Guard New York.
For boating emergencies, call 911 or use VHF Channel 16 on your marine radio. |
