Storm Mutual Aid To The Village Of Mamaroneck Fire Department

September 5, 2021

Along with many other fire districts from Dutchess County, the Pleasant Valley Fire District was quick to respond to a mutual aid request to the Village Of Mamaroneck Fire Department located in southern Westchester County.

The remnants of Hurricane Ida left 400+ commercial and residential basements in the village flooded, creating safety issues for residents and first responders alike.

Volunteer firefighters from all over New York State responded to the picturesque village, which is situated on the Long Island Sound, to provide whatever assistance was needed.

The mutual aid help allowed the Village Of Mamaroneck Fire Department to respond to their own calls without the added burden of pumping out the basements.
