Have A Happy & Safe Halloween

October 29, 2026

The members of the Pleasant Valley Fire District wish all our residents, families, and little ghosts and goblins a fun-filled and safe Halloween!

As you head out for trick-or-treating, please keep these important safety tips in mind:

🎃 FOR TRICK-OR-TREATERS
Carry a flashlight or glow stick and wear reflective clothing.
Use sidewalks and cross at street corners and crosswalks.
Look both ways before crossing the street.
Stay with your group and make sure an adult accompanies young children.
Only visit homes with outside lights on.
Wait until you get home to have an adult inspect your treats.

🚗 FOR MOTORISTS
Slow down and watch carefully for children, especially in residential neighborhoods.
Expect children to cross the street unexpectedly.
Avoid distractions and keep your eyes on the road.

🏠 FOR HOMEOWNERS
Keep walkways and porches well-lit and clear of obstacles.
Use battery-operated candles instead of open flames in jack-o’-lanterns.
Keep decorations away from candles, heaters, and other sources of heat.

👨‍🚒 A MESSAGE FROM YOUR LOCAL FIREFIGHTERS:
A little extra caution goes a long way in keeping Halloween fun for everyone!

🎃 From all of us at the Pleasant Valley Fire District, have a spooktacular Halloween and stay safe!
