| Salt Point Fire Company President and Pleasant Valley Fire District Commissioner Jeff Cady, has been named a recipient of the 2026 Christmas "Spirit Award" by the Christmas Spirit Foundation/Trees For Troops.
Jeff leads the Trees for Troops fundraising initiative alongside Salt Point Fire Company and Pleasant Valley Fire District volunteers. In partnership with Williams Lumber & Home Center, in 2025 the team raised funds and provided 770 Christmas trees to military families.
Through ongoing fundraising efforts, local business support, the summer “Boots” coin-drop campaign, and a dedicated group of volunteers, Jeff has made a significant impact in the community.
His leadership and commitment to supporting military families continue to be recognized.
