June 7, 2026

The Pleasant Valley Fire District would like to recognize and thank all of our firefighters who worked together during the recent residential mutual aid structure fire in the Town of Stanford.

This incident required a coordinated mutual aid response from numerous departments across Dutchess County. Through teamwork, professionalism, and dedication, crews were able to safely rescue a resident and four dogs from the home while working to bring the fire under control.

We are proud of the members of the Pleasant Valley Fire District who responded to assist alongside firefighters from Stanford, East Clinton, Pine Plains, Millbrook, West Clinton, Union Vale, and other emergency service agencies.

Incidents like these highlight the strength of the mutual aid system and the commitment of our volunteer firefighters who stand ready to answer the call whenever and wherever they are needed.

Thank you to all agencies involved for your service, dedication, and continued partnership in protecting our communities.
