| Today, May 3, 2026, is National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day in the United States, a day dedicated to honoring firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The members of the Pleasant Valley Fire District fondly remember Firefighter Kenneth Larkin and Deputy Chief Bertrand VanAmburgh, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the citizens of Pleasant Valley.
Their courage and dedication will always be remembered by the community and their fellow firefighters.
