Dutchess County Training Weekend

March 28, 2026

The Pleasant Valley Fire District would like to extend our sincere thanks to the East Fishkill Fire District and the New Hackensack Fire District for the use of their training facilities during the recent Dutchess County Training Weekend.

Twelve members of the Pleasant Valley Fire District recently participated in another highly successful Dutchess County Weekend, joining approximately 130 firefighters from across the county for an outstanding weekend of hands-on training and professional development.

This year marked the 30th anniversary of this important training event, which continues to provide valuable opportunities for firefighters to sharpen their skills, enhance safety practices, and strengthen inter-agency collaboration.

The weekend was made possible through the combined efforts of the Dutchess County Fire Chiefs Council, the Dutchess County Association of Fire Districts, and the Dutchess County Volunteer Firemen’s Association. Their continued dedication to firefighter education and preparedness is greatly appreciated.

East Fishkill Fire District and the New Hackensack Fire District generously opened their amazing training facilities to all attendees. Both locations provided excellent environments for realistic, hands-on instruction that greatly benefited everyone involved.

We would like to extend particular appreciation to the East Fishkill Fire District for going above and beyond by providing meals for all attendees throughout the weekend. Their facility is exceptional, and their members demonstrated outstanding hospitality and commitment by preparing and serving food for all 130 participants.

We also recognize and thank the event planning committee for their hard work and coordination in making this milestone 30th year such a success.

The members pictured were actively involved in a great weekend of training that reinforces our ongoing commitment to protecting and serving our community.

Thank you from the Pleasant Valley Fire District!
