Continuing a long-standing tradition, the Salt Point Fire Company held its 25+ year annual scholarship ceremony, awarding seven college scholarships to members and their immediate family. The event, which took place at their firehouse on Cottage Street, aims to ease the financial burden of higher education for these deserving students. It was awarded to: Dustin Burgess - SUNY Oneonta Emily Cady - University College of London Michael Cady - University of Rhode Island Chloe Camburn - SUNY Oneonta Isabel Czech - Marist University Aidan Drum - SUNY Morrisville Abigail Elliott - SUNY New Paltz Company President Jeff Cady expressed pride in the recipients, stating, "We are so proud of all the recipients and very glad that we can help them out."
