Today, the Pleasant Valley Fire District stands together with thousands of other fire districts, departments and companies across the country in mourning the death of Lieutenant Jared Lloyd of the Spring Valley Fire Department in Rockland County, New York who entered a literal inferno in attempt to save innocent lives

Words cannot express the pain they must feel at this time. We hope they take comfort in knowing their brother is a true hero whose bravery and courage saved countless lives.

We wish extend our deepest condolences to the Spring Valley Fire Department, Columbian Engine Co. #1 and to your brothers, family and friends. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
