Morning Apartment Fire

On December 14, 2024, at 8:00 AM, the Pleasant Valley Fire District was dispatched for a confirmed working apartment fire on Lake Shore Drive in Pleasant Valley.

Upon the Chief's arrival on the scene, it was immediately upgraded to a second alarm call bringing additional mutual aid from the Arlington Fire District, East Clinton Fire District, Fairview Fire District, LaGrange Fire District, Millbrook Fire Department, Roosevelt Fire District, and the Union Vale Fire District.

In addition, Empress EMS provided on scene assistance and a transport to the hospital.

Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division was on the scene cause of the fire yet to be determined.

Quick action by all firefighters involved prevented extension into other apartment units. All occupants were safe and accounted for.

Red Cross was called in and was aiding all that required it.
