Last night members of the Howe family, joined by members of their Pleasant Valley Fire District family, were at the Pleasant Valley Town Hall for the dedication of Howe Park.

Years ago, the Howe family generously donated the land to be used for recreational purposes and it was known as "Field 2". The proclamation yesterday officially changed the name to "Howe Park”.

Phylis Howe, wife of late Pleasant Valley Fire Company President Don Howe, accepted the proclamation from the Town of Pleasant Valley along with Don's sisters Margaret Howe and Jeanne Baganz.

I'm sure Donny was smiling down on all of us last night...
