Another Successful "Trees for Troops" Campaign

Another year is in the books for "Trees For Troops".

Members of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department, as well as neighboring fire departments and friends worked to load 400 trees in the FedEx trailer that will soon be delivered to our military families.

This initiative would not have been so successful if it wasn't for the support from around the county, the fire departments, the businesses, the people that dropped money in the buckets at the coin drop, the people who dropped food off and the people who cooked food for us for at the coin drop made this happen in a very difficult and trying year.

Past Company Chief and Salt Point Fire Company President Jeff Cady said "to the members of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department, you are without a doubt the best. We are blessed to have the greatest people, in the greatest part of the state, the Hudson Valley. To the people who came out today to load trees, you are the best. Everyone worked so hard and it went off without a hitch."

The last tree that was loaded was a very special tree, it was tagged in memory of Tom (Tagger) Wagner. Cady continued, "Tom you were a great guy, who would do anything for anyone, and you will be deeply missed. Rest In Peace."
