The Pleasant Valley Fire District stands together with thousands of other fire districts, departments and companies across the country in mourning the death of 37 year old Assistant Chief William “Billy” Joseph Steinberg of the Forestburgh Fire Company #1 in Sullivan County, New York who collapsed and passed away from an apparent heart attack.

Words cannot express the pain they must feel at this time. We hope they take comfort in knowing their brother is a true hero.
