Trees For Troops - Another "Tree-mendous" Success

November 27, 2021

The Pleasant Valley Fire District, along with other local fire departments and community members, loaded 600 live Christmas trees into two huge FedEx trailers at Hahn Farm on Salt Point Turnpike for the final portion of the 2021 “Trees for Troops” drive.

In Pleasant Valley alone, more than $16,000 was raised by the firefighters and the community under the direction of current firefighter, Salt Point Fire Company President and past Assistant Chief Jeff Cady for the trees this year. In a partnership with Hahn Farm their fundraising efforts will be providing hundreds of trees to American service members around the world.

Working together with FedEx, the Trees for Troops program has delivered more than 265,000 trees to military families in the U.S. and to troops stationed overseas in countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Spain, and Guam.

Congratulations to everyone that worked so hard to make this another success!
