Before each monthly meeting of the Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Company, we hold a memorial service for any member or family member that has passed during the past month.

At the September meeting our memorial service started with by honoring the 13 service personnel that died on August 26, 2021 in Kabul.

September 2021 Fire Company Memorial Service:

We read in John Chapter 15, verse 13 – “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends”.
We take a moment to recognize the 12 Marines and the Navy Medic who gave their lives serving and protecting our Country.

We remember:

+ Lance Corporal David Lee Espinoza
+ Sergeant Nicole Gee
+ Staff Sergeant Taylor Hoover
+ Staff Sergeant Ryan Knauss
+ Lance Corporal Rylee McCollum
+ Corporal Hunter Lopez
+ Lance Corporal Dylan R. Merola
+ Lance Corporal Kareem Nikoui
+ Sergeant Johanny Rosario Pichardo
+ Corporal Humberto Sanchez
+ Corporal Daegan William-Tyeler Page
+ Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz
+ Seaman Maxton “Max” Soviak

In Isaiah chapter 6, verse 8 we read, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’

We thank and pray for eternal rest for the thirteen who answered “Here am I. Send me!”

May they rest in peace.
